Abstrak

Game tembak-menembak adalah genre populer yang biasanya dibuat dengan engine kompleks seperti Unity. Namun, engine tersebut membutuhkan keahlian tinggi dan sumber daya besar. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penggunaan Ren’Py engine yang biasa dipakai untuk novel visualuntuk

membuat game shooter sederhana berjudul “Ren’Py Crisis. Game dikembangkan  menggunakan python dalam Ren’Py yang mencakup kontrol senjata, AI musuh, dan sistem skor. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui survei 34 responden menggunakan instrumen GUESS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan instrumen valid dan reliabel, serta game dinilai memberikan pengalaman menyenangkan, terutama dari segi usability, enjoyment, Audio Aesthetics, personal gratification dan Visual Aesthetics dan kepuasan permainan secara menyeluruh meskipun tanpa vitur narrative dan multiplayer.
